The life you change just might be your own.

The details outlined below are about Super CPR Saturday and do not necessarily apply to our regular community CPR courses:

Is this a regular CPR course for certification?

From checking an ill or injured person to the steps to perform CPR and everything in between, experienced Red Cross volunteer instructors will be working with all students to ensure that all skills are not just taught, but also practiced and refined.

Each participant that completes the class and passes the skills test will receive certification in CPR.

How long is my certification good for?

One year.  CPR certifications must be renewed annually.

Is there an age requirement for this free CPR course?

There is no age limit for participating in the First Aid, CPR/AED classes; however, in order for a participant to successfully complete the courses, he or she must participate in all of the class skill practice sessions, pass the skills assessment, and achieve an 80% or better on the written tests. There are certain skills, such as abdominal thrusts, back blows, and compressions, that students must be able to complete, so someone's height and weight may be more of an indicator for ability to complete and pass the course than age.

How long will the course last?

This is a 4 hour course, and usually takes the entire time.
